The Safety, Health and Environmental Representative (SHEREP) course is a five-day accredited programme that prepares elected SHE representatives to fulfil their statutory duties and actively contribute to a safe working environment.
Participants gain a thorough understanding of the Occupational Health and Safety Act and supporting regulations, the rights and functions of SHE representatives, how to conduct workplace inspections, participate in incident investigations, and engage with management on health and safety matters.
This course meets the legal requirements for SHE representative training under the OHS Act and is SETA-accredited. It is recommended that SHE representatives attend within three months of being elected.
